1. Watch What You Eat
Although it’s sometimes easier to grab something to eat while you’re watching television or eat while you’re reading a favorite book, these situations can lead to eating too much at one time. Make a meal that you can sit at a table and eat. Spend a few minutes chewing your food and thinking about the benefits that it gives your body as well as the flavors of the food.
When you go to bed at night, set the temperature in your home lower. Another way to get a better night’s sleep is to make the room as dark as possible with as few distractions as possible so that your body can relax.
3. Be Thankful
Write down a few things that you’re thankful for during the day or spend some time truly appreciating the things that you have in life, such as food and your health. If you begin to focus more on the good things in your life, then you’ll start pushing the negative thoughts aside, which can lead to less stress in your life.

5. Change Your Routine
The smallest details that you change each day can have a big impact on your health. Park farther away from the store, or walk up the stairs instead of riding on the elevator so that you get more exercise in each day.
Make a point to do one healthy activity that you enjoy each day for an entire month. Once you see how easy it is to take a walk, join a fitness class, or take an aerobics class each day, then it’ll become a part of your life and something that you want to do all the time.
